Learn how to configure and setup Tobii Pro Lab or Tobii Pro Studio correctly for the Tobii Pro Mobile Device Stand.
Running an eye tracking test using the Tobii Pro Mobile Device Stand requires that you record the video feed from an external the camera, filming the mobile device, together with the eye tracking data collected by the eye tracker. In this article you will learn how to configure both softwares with the Mobile Device Stand to achieve this.
Before you start working with the software please verify that you have first completed the following steps:
Data collection with the Mobile Device Stand and the eye tracker is managed and performed in Tobii Pro Lab. To prepare a recording in Pro Lab start by creating a Scene Camera project and clicking on the Record tab. Install the native camera software to enable you to access more camera settings and provide more control over the image feed (e.g. switching the auto-focus off).

Data collection with the Mobile Device Stand and the eye tracker is managed and performed in Tobii Pro Studio. To prepare a recording in Pro Studio start by creating a project and an empty test and setup the mobile device test by by using the Scene Camera element on the Design and Record tab in the software. The Mobile Device Stand will only work with the stimuli type “Scene camera”.
Click OK to close the window when all dots align perfectly with the dots on the calibration plate.
